In late 2015, I accepted a position as the Director of the Ford/Mozilla Open Web Fellows program. It was a unique program, placing 6 technologists into 6 civil society organizations: The ACLU, Amnesty International, Free Press, Public Knowledge, the Association for Progressive Communications and the Open Technology Institute. Over 10 months, I worked with these amazing individuals on their individual projects, and with my colleagues to shape the program. Now in its third year, the program has hosted ~ 25 hackers for good in some of the world's best advocacy orgs. The video below is from Amnesty International Fellow Tim Sammut during his presentation to the Ford Foundation in New York.
